The cynical among us (not that I am claiming to be such!) might reply that the availability of Easter Material will mirror the situation of Advent, Christmas and Epiphany. In other words - if I were you, I would assume that the bits you want won't be on VL until it is too late or after the event.
Looking back on this messageboard, I find that on 04/06/2007, Imogen wrote this on behalf of CHP:
"I can confirm that the material from Advent to Easter is currently in Visual Liturgy Live with Ascension to Pentecost coming in the first update (release tomorrow). Currently the material can be found in the 'All services' folder but it is not easy to find. The update will re-arrange all of the Times and Seasons making it easier to find. The rest of the book including the Agricultural material will be forth-coming."
On 19/08/2007 I pointed out that, contrary to Imogen's statement, not all the Advent to Easter material was on VL. Since then, nothing has happened. In particular:
1. We still do not have the full Advent to Easter material from T&S.
2. The rest of the material (Agricultural/Pentecost/Trinity to All Saints/All Saints to Advent) has NOT been forthcoming.
I know this is beginning to sound like stuck record, but could we please have some answers (from CHP) to the following questions:
a. When will T&S be fully available in VL? It is now over 6 months since the promise was made to have T&S fully implemented.
b. Are we expected to pay a further £52 for upgrades which we should have already had? I paid my upgrade in May 2007, fully expecting that for that price I would get ALL of T&S.
c. What will be included in future upgrades? And what timescales are we looking at? By this, I don't mean just material (T&S or otherwise), but also the ongoing development of the software. Like others, I accepted the £52 annual subscription because I understood that it was necessary for software development. But what is happening? There are no signs of any enhancements.
Note to Tim. Don't worry about trying to answer this message. I'm looking for someone from CHP to speak up
