Firstly, we've tried to be more thorough and consistent in using the helpful coding scheme that features in the book. So, if you already have a Times and Seasons book, and you can see an item that you want to use in VL, you can search for it using the codes. For example, the Kyrie Confessions for Epiphany on pages 121-122 of Times and Seasons are items B1-B4 in the Epi section of the book. So you can find them by searching for CW TS Epi. And you can find the fourth one by searching for CW TS Epi B4.

Try this principle to find any coded item in Times and Seasons - search for CW TS followed by the section and item. Use the Red section code from the top of each page, and the red item code to the left of the item you need.

But we've also made it easier to find material in more general searches. Try searching for Advent, for example, or Christmas, and you'll see that the material is now a lot more consistent in its labelling. We hope it's easier for you to find and manage; what do you think?

Lectionary Planner - can I save other than as .vlr file??

[i]I am trying to inform our administrator of the lectionary so that she can complete our Readers list for the coming months - I have been doing it myself up to now, but now have a volunteer to take it over. We encourage you to use them as much as possible, and we hope that they will become the first port of call for VL Live support queries.
You've probably already navigated around this support forum area, but in case you've come directly here, you may like to know that we've created five forums called

Installing Visual Liturgy Live

Using Visual Liturgy Live

Latest News

Liturgy and Music

Future Directions

These were based on our thoughts about what might be most useful and our experience of what worked well with Visual Liturgy 4. They should enable us to discuss most matters, but they're not set in stone.

The navigation above-left will take you to the top-level of the Visual Liturgy Live support forum if you click on Home >> Visual Liturgy Live

You should also find the search feature useful. In the navigation above-right you'll see a link to Search, and this will enable you to find all the queries relating to, say, stylesheets, or dotnetfx. You may well find that other VL Live users have encountered your problem, and that someone has already answered it for you.

We do our best at Church House Publishing to respond to queries as quickly as possible, but we are a small team and we have to divide our time between telephone support, answering your emails, and keeping the support forums up-to-date; and that's before we've done any new product development work. To a certain extent, we all rely on the VL Live user community to help each other as much as possible, so if you know the answer to someone's question, don't hold back - post it!

Daily Prayer Compline Services Blank

Hello,

Aside from one or two items the Compline service templates are blank including most browse options.

Is this a problem with my installation or an issue that is being addressed also will bible readings eventually be available in morning and evening prayer.

Thanks

Steven

Problems with Gill Sans font

Some users have reported that the Gill Sans font is unavailable after installing VL Live. We know that under certain circumstances, depending on what previous verion(s) of VL 4 have been installed on your machine, the installation of VL Live may leave you without Gill Sans.

If this has happened to you, you can re-install the Gill Sans font easily by following these steps:

1. Insert your VL Live CD in your CD-Rom drive, and Cancel the installation process if it begins automatically.

2. In Windows Explorer, or My Computer, navigate to your CD-Rom drive (which will often appear as your D: drive). Expand the contents of the CD (for example, by clicking on the plus sign) so that you can see the folder named "Files."

3. If you single-click on the folder named "Files" you will see a file on the right-hand side of your window called Gill Sans TT. This is the Gill Sans True-Type font. Double-click on it, and follow the prompts from the font installer. When you are asked to select a target location, you should select your C: Drive (or whichever drive contains Windows if it is not C:), and install the font to Windows\Fonts
