Hello,

I have followed the online instructions for registering a team member including the licence number and team number but keep getting the error message about wrong VL number. Can you advise please.

Thanks

Alan

Please make sure that you have filled out the information on the registration screen as follows.

1. Serial number- This is the 'Team licence code' generated as part of the team subscription management.

2. Team serial number- This is the shared serial number from the CD.

Please let me know if you have further problems.

Kind Regards

I have followed your instructions and the VL has registered successfully.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

QUESTION
Serial number - if this is the Team licence number allocated to me on the website, then it doesn't seem to work for me. I'm the second team member, our first loaded fine, but I cannot register now that I've loaded the CD.
I have also been prompted to change my password from the original I inputted -"not secure". Will this have affected things?

Hi John -

Your team has managed to find a weakness in our team management system! We try to enforce strong passwords for use with Visual Liturgy Live, and we don't allow VL users to register their copy unless their password is "strong." Our definition of "strong" is that the password should be between 6 and 12 characters, and include at least one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, and one numeral.

However, we do not enforce these strong passwords when a team "owner" is creating team member passwords. So it looks as if when setting you up as a team member, someone has created a password for you that is not strong enough. We do state the guidelines, but the web-site does not enforce them in the way that the VL application itself does.

The easiest thing for you to do will be to

  1. Log-in to www.visualliturgylive.net using your current name and password.
  2. Click on Edit Details and change your password to a new, strong password according to those guidelines above.
  3. Logout, and then re-try your VL Live registration

If you have any further problems, please let us know.
