New in 'Live'
“Visual Liturgy Live is even better than before. It is more intuitive and effective. It really will be of great help to our group of parishes both from an organisational perspective, and in being able to create specific services for each of our churches.”
Peter Maxwell, Churchwarden for St Margaret’s Chippenham and Ely Diocese Authorised Lay Ministry Coordinator for Administrators.
Visual Liturgy Live includes many new features to make it easier to use than earlier versions. In addition, Visual Liturgy Live's content has also been significantly revised so that this version will include the definitive edition of the Common Worship library, as well as all of the daily lectionary readings and many more hymns and songs.
We have made significant changes to existing parts of the software including the Lectionary Planner, a tool which is used to generate and customize a report of lectionary items for a specified period and lectionary. We have also created a Reading Plan facility which allows you further customise your lectionary plan by creating sermon series.

We have introduced a ‘short-list’ function which enables certain items to be saved into a favourites list that you can print or export, or for you to come back to at a later date.
The Service designer, which displays the options for a particular service template has also been revamped to include a preview facility so you can see your service developing as you plan. You can also access helpful notes and commentary material much more easily than before.

To handle Common Worship: Daily Prayer and seasonal material, new Smart templates can be used to define a template that might behave differently on particular Sundays (e.g. Family Service this week, Morning Prayer next week) or at a particular times of the year (e.g. only to be used during Easter).
Visual Liturgy Live is also the first version to include an online update and subscription service making it easier to receive updates and to create and add team licences. For more information about this and other aspects of the software, please browse through the website and discussion forums.
